Beijing Power Grid’s Maximum Power Consumption Load Hits 11.62 Million kW

Despite the high temperatures and the rainstorms, Beijing’s power grid operated steadily during the Olympic Games and recorded maximum power consumption load of 11.62 million kW, lower than the expected 14.6 million kW, announced Beijing Electric Power Company on August 24th. The sources that supply power to the Olympic venues and the key ancillary facilities all operated well and ensured the daily supply of power to 29 venues and ancillary facilities.
